Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) works under the direction of  licensed practical nurses, and registered nurses to provide daily basic care for patients. A CNA provides both physical and emotional support for patients in nursing homes and hospitals. CNAs must be able to provide personal assistance to individuals who are unable to care for themselves and help regain and maintain daily functions. To be certified as a nursing assistant, the student must successfully complete the New Jersey curriculum for Nurse Aide in Long Term Care Facilities Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP). Our program is approved by the New Jersey Senior Service & Health Department. Ace Healthcare Training Institute is designed to help fulfill those requirements and help prepare the student for the State Certified Nurse Assistant examination in just 4-6 weeks.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Program

The CNA Program is designed to provide students with the skills necessary to meet the physical, physiological, and psychological needs of a patient. The objectives of the CNA course is to provide a learning experience required to obtain employment in the healthcare industry. Each Certified Nurse Aide course is comprised of 90 hours: 50 instructional (classroom) hours and 40 clinical laboratory hours. Each school day varies in length depending on the current school schedule. Preliminary, midterm, and final examinations are administered to determine the students learning level. A test score below 75% is an indication that the necessary skills are not being successfully acquired. Students in this percent range will be advised to arrange for additional practice, independent study, or tutoring (from the institute or outside resources). The course is approved by the State of New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services more specifically by the Certification Program of the Division of Long-term Care Systems.

The quality of the teachers and class material is extraordinary. The teachers have a Medical Doctor's degree from a high standard university in another English speaking country. Some teachers have a RN/MSN degree from the USA or another English speaking country. Our teachers have experience. They don't read from the book but, they speak from their experience. Students are never tired during our classes but, leave the classroom inspired and relaxed. They have enjoyed the teaching and the interaction with the teacher and with each other. The class materials consists of the latest books. The example of some of our powerpoint slides below show our high quality. The slides are concise and to the point. Exactly what you need to know as a CNA or CHHA.

What is involved?

We offer the following services to get your lapsed CNA license renewed:

  1. Explaining the process and timeline, and guiding you with the completion of all the necessary forms and steps

  2. Taking the competency skills test at our schools since our schools are certified by the NJ Dept of Health to provide this test. We provide the practice guide and labs

  3. Application for the NJ State CNA exam at a nearby PSI test center

When is this service offered?

When you are ready to start the process, we go through the process on an individual basis.

What does it cost?

The cost includes all the services listed above, and a reasonable fee is charged since about 5 skills are tested for out of the 22 skills to be known, and since the process is quite complex. If the process is not done well, you will end up retaking the whole CNA training program.
