EKG & Phlebotomy

Program Details

The EKG/Phlebotomy program will provide training skills as a Phlebotomy Technician as well as an Electrocardiography Technician. Combination of skills can be used to obtain employment in hospitals, physician offices and a number of health care settings. The program places emphasis on the safe practice of collecting adequate and correct blood specimens by capillary puncture or venipuncture on adults, children and neonates. The second part of the program includes the correct and accurate capture of EKG tracing and cardiac monitoring data.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be eligible to sit for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Phlebotomy and EKG Technician Certification Examination.

About the Course

  • The course is offered in both Dover and Union campuses​

  • The program consists of classroom, simulated laboratory settings and practicum

  • Estimated hours of instructions: 4-11 weeks of 120 hours


  • Minimum age of 18 years old
